Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and performer. Her main focus is Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum's Rasoolum has marked her Malayalam and Tamil debuts as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian origin. She was the daughter of a Madras High Court attorney. She has one younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah was brought up in Chennai. He was a student at National Public School. After the completion of his studies, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to begin studying piano around the age of eight. She was an avid geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. When she was 10, she was a part of a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. She performed as a performer at the college, in a variety of shows hosted through The Madras Players or EVAM. She was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her professional career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's new leo Coffee advertisement was with Shiva. She also acted in the Podhigai Channel in a television series. She has appeared in various shows throughout India. She played a brief part in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the climax. She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The director asked her to be one of his lead female characters in Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani who is a housewife her husband who is caught in an affair and is blackmailed. Andrea was picked to play the role after Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were contacted by producers. It was first released in early 2010.
