Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from the mixed race family of South London in England. Madekwe is English but her father was Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14. She earned her BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was a part of various performances on stage during her college days, such as the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film came from that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Her popularity resulted in her being cast as Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in six episodes Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. She also had the opportunity to play the role of Bambi on The ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in episodes two and three. Madekwe was a part of the Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the show's initial two seasons as the show's regular. In May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will leave the show after her appearance as a guest on the opening episode for its third season. She was Tituba in the program Salem in 2014 until. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in that TV show.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, hails from a large Hamilton family. Four of her older brothers were also present including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball fields because the four brothers who were athletic played hockey and baseball as well as both during spring and summer. Ashley could not walk but could dance. As a result, as she grew older when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance immediately. Ashley competed in top-level divisions for jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics as well as pointe until the time she completed in high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist award at every major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just some.
